TypeWars has no accounts and no database of players.

Stored in your browser

To show personal bests, your tier and the keys you miss, the games save a small record in your browser's localStorage under the key typewars:v1: your racer name (if you set one), your last 60 round results (mode, WPM, accuracy, date), personal bests, TypeBlaster high score, best Battle Royale finish and a count of missed keys. It never leaves your device unless you use the AI coach.

AI features

The AI coach sends summary numbers (average and best WPM, accuracy, number of rounds, most-missed keys) plus any note you type. The "race on any topic" feature sends the topic you type. Requests go through Vercel AI Gateway to a language model and are not stored by TypeWars. Don't type personal information into those boxes.

Challenge links

A challenge link contains a passage number, a WPM value and the racer name you chose, all visible in the URL.
