By accessing and using TypeWars, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

No User Accounts

• No registration required: Start playing immediately
• Local-only data: Everything stays in your browser
• Browser-specific: Clearing browser data will reset your progress
• No cross-device sync: Progress does not transfer between browsers/devices

Acceptable Use

You May:

• Play single-player typing games (WordBlitz, TypeBlaster)
• Compete against AI ghosts in offline race mode
• Track your personal statistics and achievements
• Complete daily challenges
• Unlock and equip cosmetic items
• Share game results via URL (optional)

You May NOT:

• Reverse engineer: Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code
• DDoS or attack: Attempt to disrupt or overload the service
• Scrape data: Automated collection of website content
• Violate laws: Use the service for any illegal purposes
• Exploit vulnerabilities: Abuse bugs or security flaws

Local Gameplay Data

• Match History: Stored locally in IndexedDB
• Statistics: WPM, accuracy, games played - all browser-only
• Achievements: Progress tracked locally
• Cosmetics: Equipped items saved in localStorage
• Daily Challenges: Streak data stored locally

⚠️ Important: Clearing your browser data will permanently delete all gameplay history. We cannot restore local data.

Share Feature

• Optional sharing: You can share game results via URL
• State encoding: Game data is encoded in the URL itself
• No server transmission: Sharing does not send data to our servers
• Explicit action: Sharing only happens when you click "Share" button

Intellectual Property

• TypeWars and all content are owned by TypeWars
• Logos, trademarks, and branding are protected
• You may not use our intellectual property without permission
• Fan art and content creation are allowed (non-commercial use)
• Streaming and video content are permitted with attribution

Disclaimers & Limitations

Service Availability

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service
• Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause downtime
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
• Future updates may change game mechanics or features

Limitation of Liability

• TypeWars is not liable for loss of local browser data
• We are not responsible for browser compatibility issues
• Use of the service is at your own risk
• We cannot restore data that was cleared from your browser
• No warranty for specific results or performance improvements

Typing Metrics Disclaimer

Browser Data Management

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage your own browser data (we have no access to it)
• Backup your progress manually if desired (no cloud backup available)
• Understand that clearing browser data will reset all progress
• Use the same browser to maintain progress

We Cannot:

• Restore lost browser data
• Transfer progress between browsers or devices
• Recover data after browser reset
• Access or modify your local browser storage

Age Requirements

• TypeWars is safe for all ages (no personal data collected)
• No minimum age requirement (COPPA compliant)
• Parents/guardians should supervise minors' use of the service
• No account creation or personal information required

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Modified" date. Continued use of TypeWars after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Dispute Resolution

• Disputes shall be governed by applicable law
• You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of class action
• Since no accounts or personal data are involved, disputes are unlikely
